I am an assistant teaching professor in Statistics and Data Science. I joined Berkeley in 2023 from the University of Chicago. I earned a PhD in applied math from Case Western Reserve University in 2020.
Since then I have taught Calc I, II and III, Linear Algebra, Numerical Linear Algebra, Ordinary Differential Equations, Nonlinear Dynamics, Reinforcement Learning in Games, Probability (Stat 20, Data 89, Data 140 and Stat 134), Pedagogy for Data Science (Data 375), Information Theory (Stat 157), Bayesian Statistics (Stat 238), and Data 102.
Outside of academia I’ve worked as a private research consultant and as a high-school track coach (Kenwood Academy, Berkeley High School). I enjoy the outdoors, most conditioning/adventure sports (running, biking, swimming, hiking, skiing), most acoustic music (classical, jazz, folk), and rooting for the Buffalo Bills.
I’m a senior studying Computer Science and Economics. I was previously a Data 100 tutor for three semesters. In my free time, I love exploring new places/cultures, playing card games, and trying new foods.
I am a 4th year DS and Applied Math major interested in alignment and reinforcement learning. I’ve previously taught for Data 145 and Data 100. Outside of teaching I spend my time reading, playing basketball, and DJing.
I am a 4th year CS and DS major interested in AI and RL. I have previously taught for Data 100 and CS61A. In my free time, I enjoy playing music, reading, and exploring museums :)
I’m a 4th year doubling in CS & DS. I previously taught CS70 for 4 semesters. Looking forward to staffing D102 as a lead TA and getting to know everyone. Fun fact, I’ve never lost a game of thumb war!
